I drink chlorophyll on a daily basis. As you may have heard from this video, it is part of my morning routine.
In short, chlorophyll is plant blood. Yes, you read that right. It is actually almost identical to our own red blood cells and as you may have learned- we need lots of those little guys to survive.
“Chlorophyll is a green pigment present in plants which facilitates the absorption of light from the sun. Chlorophyll has the ability to convert this light energy into usable form which is utilized for various processes such as photosynthesis by virtue of which the green plants prepare their own food. Plants cells store the sun shine and make it available for our consumption. In fact, it is the reason behind the green color and pigmentation of the plants. One of the most interesting aspects of chlorophyll is how is how closely it resembles our red blood cells, known as hemoglobin, the pigment that gives our blood its red color as well as oxygen-carrying capacity."
